Detroit Regional International Youth Silent Film Festival

The International Youth Silent Film Festival Detroit Regional showcases the competition finalists' 3-minute films crafted to tell their unique stories. The entries include 20 films made by school aged students from Michigan and around the country. The evening concludes with prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place films.
Organist Justin LaVoie will open the event with an introduction to the theatre organ. Justin received the American Theatre Organ Society’s Student of the Year Award in 2010, and won the organization’s annual Young Theatre Organist Competition in 2013. Justin was named Organist of the Year by the American Theatre Organ Society in 2020.
Admission is $10 but is free to students with a valid student ID.
