Restoration of the Theatre

The Redford Theatre is inviting qualified restoration contractors to submit proposals for the rehabilitation of 28 original steel-frame windows within our historic theatre complex, along with participation in a three-day Window Rehabilitation training workshop.

This grant-funded project offers an opportunity to contribute to the preservation of one of Detroit’s architectural landmarks. We are seeking a contractor with demonstrated experience in historic window restoration and a strong commitment to craftsmanship, collaboration, and quality outcomes.

Project guidelines—including scope of work, objectives, timeline, and evaluation criteria—are available for review and should be carefully considered prior to submission. The selected contractor will also oversee a training workshop for steel-frame windows.
