About MCTOS

The Motor City Theatre Organ Society (MCTOS) is based at the historic Redford Theatre in Detroit, Michigan. Our mission is to preserve the theatre organ and support the ongoing restoration and operation of this unique venue.

Membership is open to everyone. No musical experience required. While some members are organists, many are simply passionate about historic preservation, film, and the Redford itself.

It takes a wide range of talents to keep the theatre running. Whether your interests are in stage operations, maintenance, customer service, marketing, or behind-the-scenes support, there’s a place for you here.

You can be as involved as you’d like. Some members volunteer regularly, while others support the organization through their membership.

A Friend of the Redford membership is $25 per year and includes opportunities to participate in events and activities. For an additional $35, a Full Membership includes voting rights, eligibility to run for office, and membership in our national organization.

If you’re looking for a great group of people and a meaningful way to support a Detroit landmark, we’d love to have you join us.
