95th Anniversary Weekend—Singin’ in the Rain

Saturday, January 28 at 2:00PM and 8:00PM Tickets: $5.00

The Redford Theatre celebrates the 95th anniversary of its opening on January 27, 1928 with movies from and about the 1920s.

In Singin' in the Rain, popular actors make the awkward transition from silent movies to sound in this candy-colored musical masterpiece starring and co-directed by Gene Kelly. No less impressive are 19-year-old Debbie Reynolds and Donald O’Connor in numbers like “Good Morning” and “Make ‘em Laugh,” plus Kelly’s splash-happy title performance.

1952 | Not Rated | 1 hour and 43 minutes

The weekend celebration also includes a screening of the 1927 silent movie Sunrise Friday, January 27 at 8 p.m.
